First of all this cordless vacuum works immaculately on rugs and floor using only the 2nd level of power. That means you can run it longer and you don't have to reset the level to switch from rug to floor. It recharges in 4/5 hours. The rollers are set so you don't have to carry it from room to room, you can roll it! It is easy to empty and clean the canister, filter and air sponge. All the parts are accessible, sturdy and easy to clean. This design is perfection. Most cordless stop recharging after a few years and due to battery location, you can't replace the batteries. That means you have to pay a lot for a repairman or junk it. The shark navigator has a battery compartment designed to make replacing old batteries simple. In fact with all parts easily replaceable, the model can be refurbished with little difficulty. This is a great cordless vac!!!!!!Read full review

I am very disappointed in the product. I thought I was buying an awesome vacuum after reading all the great reviews. I constantly have the vacuum plugged in, and charging. Even after being charged non-stop, it lasts only twenty-five to thirty minutes, at the most. Then it just dies. I have to plug it in for another 6 hours for it to supposedly be fully charged. The short working time frame is not my biggest disappointment with this product. I only use this on my living room area rug and front hallway. There is a reason I would even have to use it for that amount of time in just this area. The suction of this vacuum is terrible. It's probably the worst I have used. It works fine on hard wood, but go onto the carpet and it wont pick little things up. I have to use my finger and get in any type of groove of the area rug to get debris super loose so the vacuum can pick it up. Most of the time, the debris isn't even stuck. The suction just isn't strong at all to get in a slight groove. I am writing this too late, as in I cannot return the item. It's very unfortunate, since Shark is such a positively reviewed name. The good about the product is the ease of emptying the vacuum of what's actually been picked up. Also, it is lightweight.Read full review

This vacuum is bagless but DOES have a washable filter, which will need to be washed fairly often. While washing it isn't difficult, it should be entirely DRY before re-inserting it into the machine. The machine's best feature is that it's CORDLESS. Just grab it and go! When filter is clean, it picks up a LOT[!] of dirt and crud, and has surprising suction for such a light machine. Swivel function allows it to get under and around some things that a standard upright vac wouldn't. Dirt canister should be dumped often, as it's capacity is small. To shut the machine off, the foot switch must be pressed TWICE. First time will change to low speed mode. Not sure why designers thought the thing needed a low speed. Battery run time on ours is much shorter than what we hoped for but adequate for vacuuming a small home using the "skip-clean" system (i.e. If you SEE something to clean, clean it; if you don't SEE anything to clean, skip it).Read full review
Small and low enough to get under most furniture. I wanted to use it instead of a broom for daily pet hair clean up. It worked very well and was easy to empty. We have mostly hard surface floors but it did well getting the throw rugs clean too. I am very pleased with it.

Purchased this to pick up daily parrot crumbs from pellets that fly onto my aviary tile floor. It has great battery life, especially on low, easy rotator maneuverability under low height objects, and decent suction for the most part. My only complaint is that it does not do well with larger particles close to base molding. I have other Shark products, and this holds up to Shark's reputation..
