Burning rubber and smashing up cars is the name of the game in Roger Cormans cult 80s road romp Smokey Bites The Dust. When the cheeky rivalry between strict Sheriff Turner (Walter Barnes) and wayward teenage thief Roscoe Wilton (Jimmy McNichol) comes to a head in a small southern township, Roscoe decides to go on a road rampage - stealing cars and gleefully destroying them with the sheriff's daughter Peggy Sue (Janet Julian) sitting by his side - thumbing his nose at authority. With the sheriff in hot pursuit Roscoe is ready to literally turn the town upside down with his freewheeling, tyre-spinning hijinks and leave a twisted trail of automotive carnage in his rear vision mirror.
