I like this book because the authors present some very clever and practical ways to compost and enrich your soil in place. The book is the next step in composting after having understood the basic processes of composting. I am growing potatoes in a cardboard box in layers of soils greens and browns and at the same time making compost and enriching the hard pan soil beneath the box. There are many great ideas in this vein: comforter compost, honey holes, trenching, pits of plenty, vermicomposting, etc. This book is less about hurrying up your compost and more about labor saving ways to do it in place. I checked the book out of the public library and realized it was well worthing owning a copy for reference. You won't be disappointed!
