Author Biography
Lina Rivera was raised in Orlando, Florida where she caught the writing bug early on in elementary school after her teacher showed her how to make her own book. Excited by this idea, she ran home and made her first picture book which she bound with yarn and read to her mom. Lina attended the University of Southern California where she majored in Creative Writing and minored in Photography. After graduating, she ran an underground music zine before moving back to Florida and focusing her attention on her fiction writing. Her short story, California, was submitted to the Bomb Magazine fiction contest where it was shortlisted. When not daydreaming about her fictional character's lives, Lina enjoys traveling to places she's never been, always looking for that next great location for a story yet to be told.
