I already use a WD HDD which has an excellent performance and wanted another one to work with my exsisting WD. They run smoothly with no annoying sounds (compared to some)I was pleased to find you could get a copy of Acronis True Image (WD Edition) free, to backup the drives. I had struggled to find backup software to work with my setup. Now having the drives and type of backup software (needed for my setup. Not to forget I have used many a WD HDD of all sizes Sata and IDE. IDE drives were simple to use as master and slave and WD has precise jumper setting to us 1 or more (master & or Slave) easy to use as master and slave.
I bought this to replace an old hard drive that was getting noisy. This was a cheap replacement and definitely does its job.
Faster and is perfect for a OS installation,good conditions (almost new) and is low cost and hight quality
