If you like sci-fi adventure and Yahtzee's "Zero Punctuation" YouTube game review series, then I highly recommend this book. It felt a little less satirical than I expected, overall. The main point of the satire is the overuse of clichés - usually in the form of things going much better for the hero than could reasonably be expected. I feel like the book could stand on its own as a decent sci-fi story, even if the reader didn't realize the intended satire. The futuristic world Yahtzee created seems fairly realistic, and the characters seem fairly reasonable. All in all, I'd say it was an immersive story. The humor was a bit more sparse than I expected (being a fan of Zero Punctuation), but it did not disappoint. All in all, I highly enjoyed this book, and I had a bit of trouble putting it down. I read it from start to finish all within 24 hours, which is a bit unusual for me these days.Read full review
