I purchsed these to use in a professional Karaoke and DJ business. I have used them several times and have had a few minor issues with them. I would not recomend them for outside use. I had major connection problems in the middle of a wedding ceremony at a gazebo. I have also used them for Karaoke on several occasions and they have been great. They do not have the voice quality of a professional mic, but work great for events with alot of people. This is the first time I have used a vhf microphone set-up and probably would not purchase another one, but will certainly get alot of use from this one. I would recomend this product, and others built by this manufacturer. The design and construction seems great and having 4 mics is awsome. Hope this review helps.
Good solid microphone. The gain needs to be up to get vocal pickup beyond singing straight into the mic. Other than that the battery is solidly held into place with a screw on base. I did have one mic that had a wiggley pickup but I was able to fix it with a piece of wire tie that I wedged inside to keep it in place. Good value for the price. The sound reproduction is good to excellent. I have a Shure 60 and this is pretty close to the same sound reproduction when the singer knows how to work a mic properly. Like I said if the singer holds the mic perpendicular to their face it will not pickup the singers voice. If held in front of their face it works excellent.
If you have a couple hundred dollar to waste this is the perfect product to spend it on. Only two of the four mics work consistently (mics 2 & 4) (mic 3 is intermittent and mic 1 doesn't work at all) In order to get 2 & 4 to work at all I had to buy two new more powerful antennas) The mics are light and feel more like toys. The diaphragm in the mics are weak, i had to run each mic thru it's own EQ to get decent sound quality. Before I ran them thru the EQ's they make my people sound like they were in a tin can. Did I mention the problems I had with these mics and feed back? Had to zero out the highs and Mid-range and turn the lows to 9 o'clock position. They now sit in my booth collecting dust until I absolutely have to use them... I do use them to train junior techs.
This is my second set. Had first one 5 or 6 years and they were beat up, dropped and banged on in a bar environment. These are the best!
