I use this mic in place of my 58's and they sound very good. Clean, nice little sizzle, good output, no problems. They actually sound better than the SP9's...

These are good sounding, solidly built mics at a remarkable price. I have used them for everything from live vocals to recording guitars and drums. They probably aren't the "best" mic for anything, but they work well for a wide range of uses and are reliable. They are not particularly noisy when handled and seem to be feedback resistant, too. I keep several higher end mics for picky vocalists, but honestly, these sound as good with my PA as a Shure SM58 and way better than the $90 Audio Technica I have. I have used several other Nady mics and they were ok, but in my opinion, the SP-5 is in a much higher class. I strongly recommend for anyone looking for a nice mic at cheap price.
I have played music for 35 years. I have bought and used many types of mics over this time span. I have purchased mics at 10 times the cost of this Nady mic that did not perform as good as this one. Great mic for a super low price. I have definetly been impressed by the quality and durability. Since my 1st purchase I have bought 2 additional Nady SP-5 Mics
This mic is very comparable in sound to an SM58 but costs 1/6th of the price. Very well made and good quality. The SM58 is had been the standard for so long and is a great mic, but if you're on a budget you can't go wrong with this. I highly recommend and have 4 of these now.

I have been using Nady SP-5 microphones for about the last ten years. I first started buying them because they were very inexpensive about $10.00. I used them a lot of times with children that had a habit of dropping a mic on the floor. I lost many Sure SM 58 mics at about $90.00 each this way. Surprisingly the Nady SP-5 holds up this kind of abuse as I've never had one fail So, if your looking for an inexpensive mic that works try a Nady SP-5.
