Vernier callipers
These are good for simple general measurement but the measurement scale on the main shaft is several mm from the graduated scale on the mm scale on the anvil making accurate measurement difficult. I have scratched extra length marks to help. Accuracy of scale appears good but difficulty determining actual position because of above. The depth gauge is 1.5 mm short therefore measuring hole depth is inaccurate but add 1.5mm to measurement. Not as good as free unit I got from an Engineering magazine. The siding part is much too loose. The grades on the sliding part and the main body are very far from each other, make it virtually use less.
