This is the most versatile and feature-rich midi controller on the market. The integration with Digital Audio production programs such as Ableton Live make it an easy choice. The keys feel great. I love having the transport buttons, faders, knobs and pads right at my fingertips. The Automap feature works surprisingly well to map the Impulse's rotary knobs to VST instruments. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there's no default map for Cubase, but strangely that doesn't seem to matter. If you're looking for a midi controller for your DAW -- look no further. This is as good as it gets (except for maybe the 61-key version!)
The Impulse works as expected. The main reason I bought it was the arp/roll feature and drumpads. It took a while to get it working right with FL Studio because the Automap software doesn't work in FL like the other DAW's so you have to set it up manually using midi commands. I also use Cubase 6.5 and the Automap software works perfect with that. The keys have a nice feel but the rotary knobs feel cheap. Nothing more to say other than it helps me have more hands on instead of clicking round with the mouse
Nothing like this, I highly recommend it, the best key felling...
