These seem to be the genuine article. Tangle resistant cords work, sound quality is what I'd expect (which is better than most inexpensive earbuds). I can use these for phone calls, but the quality isn't the hottest. I like these because they're way more comfortable than "earpods", and sound much better. Noise cancelling earbuds hurt my eardrums, so these are just what I need when I'm on the go.

Honestly, I thought I was going to get a good deal on these. I thought they were exactly like the $12.99 ones that come from China (which are surprisingly enough, good quality). Yet these ones have such terrible audio quality! I still have my original Apple earphones, and I compared both. The quality is so good for the Apple ones compared to these ones... and like I said before, even the $12.99 ones that come directly from China are of such great quality so close to the Apple ones. But these 2 that I just bought from here are a waste of money! Go to the dollar stores real quick, buy their 99 cent version of earphones, and you get this same crap quality! What a waste of money this was.

I have compared the items received to a pair of original Apple ear buds. I am skeptical that the items on offer are Apple products. While visually, they are close in appearance, there are many differences. The jack itself is not the same, and the material with which the items are made seems different. For example, the collar that covers the cords as they enter the ear bud should be pliable. These are not. The screens covering the speakers are more transparent than those on Apple products. Finally, all these things would be minor issues if issues at all if the sound quality was decent. These sound tinny and muffled. The sound in the original set I have is far clearer and crisper.

Sound quality is good, however, they are not made to same quality as my original Apple earbuds. Additionally they earbuds are not even the same design as my original Apple earbuds. After only using them a couple of times, the cover of the earbud came off when i removed it from my ear. Very poor quality. They were not shipped in Apple packaging, simply wrapped up with clear wrap around a piece of clear plastic. I would not recommend these to anyone. The ad clearly states that these are genuine Apple earbuds....... They are NOT.

For some reason, when it comes to lightweight earbuds, most people seem to prefer the type that rest inside the ear canal as that style is 99% of what is available. For those of us for whom something sticking deeply into the ear canal is uncomfortable, this earlier style - it sits at the edge of the ear rather than sticking deeply into it - is much better. But these are hard to find nowadays so it's great that it is available through eBay.
