If you're a 20 handicap and expect this putter to make you putt like Phil, save your money. This putter can provide great feel and control, but only if you have, or can develop, a very smooth and consistent putting stroke. A blade putter is unforgiving; mis-hits end up way short, and failure to stay down COMPLETELY will result in pushes or pulls. The ball must be struck solidly and in the middle of the putter. I've tried blade putters several times before and gave up on them after a couple rounds. This one is a keeper, though it is taking a lot of work to learn to use it effectively. With practice I'm getting better line and distance on long putts, and when I stay down I make more short-medium putts. Plan on a learning curve if you want to go this route!
This is one of the most desirable putters in the market. It's soft feel, sexy look and limited edition make it one of the best Odyssey putters to date. I have owned several. I love the set up at address, I love the feedback from the putter at impact and most of all the soft feel when you strike the putt! Hands down A+++ putter. *for lower handicap players - not as forgiving as the bigger putters of today.

This putter is simple, but profound. The design is one that give you a great alinement and the weight is not too heavy and not too light. This is just one great putter!!!

This limited edition putter (less then 3000 manufactured) was fashioned after the same used by Phil Mickelson on his 2010 Masters Championship win. It resembles the Black Series Tour Designs #8 and is a variation of the classic Wilson 8802 blade putter. The difference between this putter and the Black Series is the insert that is the same used in their White Ice series. The insert gives this putter a much softer feel. In comparison, the Black Series #8 without the insert, is more robust in that the same stroke will go further without the insert. Since putting is very much a feel stroke, the PT82 theoretically gives the player better control. This I found to be true and the PT82 is exceptional on distance control. This is a blade putter with the shaft attached to the heal. Unlike most recent putter designs, this putter is not face balanced, in fact, it will toe down when held horizontally. Consequently, the ideal putting style would be to open the club face then square at impact, unlike face balanced putters that favor straight back and through. This distinction is important because if your natural putting stroke doesn't match an open to square stroke, then you may find an awkward feel with this putter. That doesn't mean this putter won't work for you, it just means that you may have to retrain the way you putt. Lastly, this putter is truly beautiful with a matte black finish and soft contouring to the edges. My only complaint is that this finish gets scratched easy, scraping the sole over sand on a putting surface will put scratches on it. I found the roll to be improved if you press the hands forward and close the lie angle slightly (kind of how Mickelson makes his putts). Making a rhythmic stroke compared to a stabbing / punching stroke also yields the best results. If you are a fan of Phil Mickelson, a fan of the old Wilson 8802, and have a blade type preference to your putters, this one should not be passed up.Read full review
I received my PT82 today, tested it against 5 or 6 of my other putters, Camerons included, this thing is amazing. I find the insert not too hard, not too soft. The setup is so very confidence inspiring with the bright white sight line against the dull black finish, plain and perfect. This is a must have for anyone who enjoys magical feel and top quality craftsmanship! This will also deeply favor any golfer who uses a forward press putting style with a slight inside to out stroke. I just bid on another one.
