The phone does what it says - large clear buttons, clear screen, limited functionality, works on the 3G network. Ideal phone for a Senior who only needs a basic phone to make or receive calls. If you want some smartphone features (internet browsing, load up apps, etc), you'll need to look elsewhere. We purchased this for a family member who has mobility / dexterity issues, to replace a similar 2G phone that we bought a year or so ago. (The 2G network is shutting down in a couple of months, and the old phone won't work after the 2G shutdown.) We could have bought a basic smartphone for quite a bit less, but the user would have issues operating a touch-screen phone.

I recently bought this phone and am very disappointed to say the least It is definitely simple but that is the only plus it has. It has no predictive text so you have to press the letter buttons numerous times to get one letter. SMS messages of more that 10 words usually wont send as they are too BIG. It wont send a photo at all. Any messages received with a photo it wont download It has a calendar but you cant enter a reminder on it so what is the use of the calendar Any photos can be transferred to a computer which is cumbersome to achieve After 3 or 4 phone calls usage about 60 minutes its flat Standby is 3 or 4 days maximum Usually if you don't scroll back to the standby screen it does not lock automatically so you can pocket dial All in all its a gnats hair short of useless Stay away, dont buy, give it a miss unless you want 1+1 = 2Read full review

Good, simple to use phone for elderly or disabled people who have difficulty using a small or smart phone. Battery life, volume, size of keys and simplicity of use are all positives. The only negative I encountered was that the setup could be challenging for anyone having limited technical knowledge and experience of phones. If the phone is for someone of limited ability with technology, they would need a buddy with technical knowhow to set up the phone.

Olitech Easy Mate 3G Seniors Phone Terrific - does exactly what it says.... A good basic phone with a nice big display, audible keypad feedback, simple SMS and address book functions and without the worry of internet data usage. The recharging cradle makes recharging a breeze without having to insert fiddly cables. Add to that a battery standby of a least a week!! My only complaint is the that the ringtones are not the best, but you can transfer better ones to the phone if you know someone technically savvy. There should be more phones like this on the market.

Gr8 Phone. Easy to use and understand. Ah but I am a bit sad though as after I have perhaps a 5 page txt message I want to edit/check b4 sending I could not get back to the start of my txt without repeatedly pressing the CLEAR button over and over to move back just one space/letter at a time. I will learn to live with that though
