This is an excellent camera packed with easy to use features. The picture stability setting is of particular value, in that it results in sharp pictures in difficult situations. I can't really find any fault in this camera, and the price was a bargain.
The guide feature allows an amateur like me to take quality photos

Olympus has been one of my favorites since I was introduced to them in Viet NAm 1968. Never failed and took perfect pictures. It was stolen 3 times and I always bought another. I love this one.

I started with an Olympus FE 115 and loved it, THEN I ordered the Olympus FE170 as a extra or backup camera. After receiving the Olympus FE 170, I was so impressed with the features and ordered 2 more. THIS IS A GREAT CAMERA. The feature I love the best is the Super Macro. It allows me to take photos of labels, tags, makers marks on pottery and ceramics with ease I would recommend THIS one!!!!
This is the worst digital camera I have ever seen. Of course, that is why it was offered via credit card award points. Here's why: 1. Proprietary card format can't be read in standard card readers. You must connect to the PC. 2. Extremely slow download times. 3. Lousy picture quality: dark, blue-tinged, often blurred. 4. Very prolonged deployment time after powered up. 5. Long delay between pictures. 6. Uses AA cells and eats batteries like crazy! I was getting about 30 pictures out of a pair of batteries. There are so many better cameras out there. As an example, the Samsung Digimax L60 is a great, affordable older digcam.
