I bought this on a recent Good Guys eBay sale. It's a significant upgrade on the Canon SX100 I was previously using and is a substantial upgrade to my old Nikon D70 SLR. It offers many different shooting modes, there is a point and shoot mode for those who like to play it safe, and "art" mode applying various different filters, plus it has all your modes for more serious photographers. The standard lens seems to do the trick for all the day to day shots, and it also fares well doing professional shots too, capturing good light and detail. Excellent value.

I bought this camera on the recommendation from a friend and then reviews on websites. I wanted a light weight camera with full features of a DSLR. I am a complete beginner, but have been able to shoot some great pics. So enthusiastic about my choice I am joining a camera club. I could recommend this camera for beginners to semi pro I had to buy a camera grip for it the only con I can say about it so far. Compared to my Nikon D6 its a breeze and as i have already stated so small in size and the lenses are tiny. I just dont need a great big camera bag. I am in awe of this tiny camera
Was looking for a camera to snap our honeymoon pics, didn't want the bulkiness of a DLSR but still wanted quality shots. Settled for this camera and don't regret it one bit - light, easy to use and takes very decent photos, looks amazing too! Only minor thing is the zoom on the lens I find a little slow, have heard the battery doesn't last long either but buying a few spares should do the trick.
