excellent bicycle lock
The rubber coating is fantastic feature and having extra keys is great idea, it's heavy but if you want to slow down a thief it's going to have weight. The choices at the box stores are more $ and less quality

Update: Super secure and so strong that I purchased 4 more for my, so now I have 1 each for all my bikes.
I placed this ONGUARD confidently on my new and very expensive Cannondale Scalple bicycle with a Lefty Fork, that I converted to be a high performance E-bike (Electric bicycle with a top speed of about 42 mph without pedal assistance). This excellent lock is very secure and almost fool proof. I lock the bike with the "DT U-Lock" through the very expensive motorized rear rim and frame then run the "Cinch Loop (It is much longer than 4", possibly 14", maybe a typo)" cable thru the frame and front Lefty rim. For a little added security I placed an audible alarm on the the U portion of the lock that rests on the almost $500.00 lithium battery so if one moves the lock it will sound an ear piercing siren. It is Velcro-ed with industrial strength Velcro to the battery case so one must apply ... After all even the best locks keep the honest, honest and only deter the the dishonest. I also added a small hidden GPS tracking system to find the smart thieves and myhot bicycle (daily transportation). Yet this protection system with the On Guard Bulldog at the center of it offers the best security that is available, It is actually more secure than Low-Jack, I just hope that someday soon the ON Guard Bulldog will come with all the features I have added to it. All said and done I love this lock and recommend it to everyone. PLEASE NOTE: if you want to steal my bike you have to get by the BULL DOG first!

Great fat tire bike lock.
I have a fat tire electric mountain bike with heavy duty frame and huge tires. I needed a lock like this to secure my bike to a large post. The 4.5" gets around my frame and the 9" 'U' can reach where the shorter ones just can't reach.

One of the best available locks for the price
I am using this lock for my expensive electric bike and I trust it. It appears pretty sturdy and also pretty hard to pick. Standard picks have a hard time getting under the locking sliders, making this lock pick-proof for >99% of bike thieves. The shackle is not bad either. It is well-hardened, locks on both ends, and easily fits through the loops on the cable. The mounting hardware is easy to install and holds the lock securely. The only downside of this lock is that it is pretty heavy and you have to find a place to stash the cable. I used one long bolt and one short bolt (bolts provided) and wrapped it around my seat post.
