Author Biography
Tez Watson started writing poetry following a twenty-odd year career in the Royal Air Force and has seen his output increase inboth number and quality since joining forWORDS - The Forres Writing Group. Originally from the West Riding of Yorkshire he was always fascinated by words as a child - his poems are as broad as they are long, covering all manner of subjects, expressing everything from humour to outrage. Tez has had work featured in Poetry Loud & Silent (Arts Council for Wyoming) as well as online in 'Shot Glass Journal' website, the magazine of The Gordonstoun Association (he's an ex member of staff) and 'Touched By Fire' ezine. He has read his work at a number of Nairn Book & Arts Festival events in the Little Theatre plus Tales On The River Bank as well as The Green Bards Ceilidh, Poetry In The Gallery (with Helen Addy), at Findhorn Bay Arts Culture Day, Buskfest in Elgin and at numerous forWORDS events. He has been invited to share the stage with Nairn's writing group 'The Pen and I' on a number of occasions and has appeared with other writers at Inverness Library's Happy Hour. In October 2013 along with Andy Allan and Helen Addy he appeared on The Literature Show on SHMU FM in Aberdeen where each of the three poets shared their work. Most recently he had his poem To Our Veterans selected for inclusion in the 2013 Pendle War Poetry Competition anthology.
