A different genre of album to Peter Combe's kids ones. More serious with languid ballads, acoustic guitars and you can hear Combe’s folky influence. A song written for his father is quite moving. After now listening to this album several times on a recent road trip I was really impressed with the variety. This is a must have if you are a big fan of Peter Combe as you’ll hear a different scope of his songwriting.

A different genre of album to Peter Combe’s widely known other children’s music. ‘Songs From A Telephone Box’ has more of a contemporary, ballad feel. With more serious songs included which I feel are more aimed at an Adult listener versus children. I enjoyed immensely the emotive songs such as Cry for Your Father- a song Peter (my dad) wrote for my late grandfather and Come Together as two stand outs. There are also still some ‘quirky’ songs on the album- to be expected of Peter Combe!

I love this album as it's so diverse in genres- all in the one CD! Some serious songs, some funny songs, especially the one about a fish called Elizabeth! I recommend it if you are an adult listener as the album I feel is aimed mostly for adults with many ballads. My favourite song on the CD is 'Come Together'. The lyrics are tear jerking for me. Very inspirational. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
