This is the first electric shaver that wasn't a Norelco triple header I've used in 30+ years. I decided to change because of Norelco's ridiculous price for the original replacement head (RQ10) in my current shaver and the poor quality of the alternate (RQ12). I shave from the neck up, including my head, every morning. I had no problem getting use to using this razor but it was a little bit of a transition. The first thing I noticed was a completely different sound. I think it's louder but maybe it's just different. It shaves me closer, at least than I could get with the RQ12 Norelco head. The RQ10 did much better but still not as close as the Panasonic. It does require multiple passes to get that close shave but no more than the Norelco did. The Panasonic doesn't require cleaning after every shave like my Norelco did. Screen removal is easy to aid in cleaning. My only real complaint after using it for a while is the battery life. I could easily get a week between charge on my Norelco even with all the shaving I do every morning and it is over 5 years old. The Panasonic requires charging twice a week for the same shaving. I don't think that will ever get better and hope that it doesn't get worse. At this point I have no regrets changing to the Panasonic. If the battery gets worse I may have to go to something else. With a longer battery life I would have easily given 5 stars.Read full review

Bought this shaver to maintain a little stubble not even to shave my face all the way smooth, and it can't even do that. I've given it time and tried it about 7 or 8 times wet and dry. It is being returned today. Basically just slides around your face and doesn't cut any hair. At ALL. The trimmer on the back works better than the 3 bar for ripping hairboutbof your face and leaving what looks like razorburn.

I've been using electric shavers for over 30 years now and have tried or owned all the main manufacturers (Norelco, Braun, Remington, etc). I bought the top of the line Panasonic, which cost me over $200 at that time in the early 2000's, and it worked flawlessly all the way until last month when I broke a piece of the shaver block off by accident; it would still be working right now if I hadn't done that! I only needed to replace one of the two foils in all that time. So, I was not going with any other company than Panasonic. This particular model is less than 25% of what I paid back then and has all the indications that it will be just as reliable. It shaves close (optional swivel head capability), tells you how much battery life is left, and has a very comfortable and sturdy feel to it. You won't be disappointed!Read full review

The "linear" motor of this and other Panasonic shavers, runs at a high speed and "zings" through your beard. It is effective with Williams LectricShave. However, I prefer to use it "wet" with a brushless shaving cream. The two best brands are Proraso and Palmolive, both available on eBay. I get as fine a shave with the Panasonic and a brushless cream as I do with a blade razor and my face never feels "skinned" as it does when I use a blade. The cutting blades and the foil will dull over time. Replacements are available through Factory Outlet and on eBay. However, on several occasions, I've been able to buy a new shaver on eBay for the price of the replacement cutters and foil. The LT41-K model has a small lever which will "lock" the on/off switch and prevent the shaver from being turned on accidentally. There is another Panasonic shaver, No. 8103, which is otherwise identical save it does not have this feature. I didn't think this feature was needed until my No. 8103 model was twice turned on by accident in my luggage because the switch was somehow pressed. On the first occasion, the shaver was in my carry-on and TSA made my open the bag and turn off the shaver. On the second occasion, the shaver was in checked luggage. When I opened the bag at my destination, the battery had been discharged for so long that it was ruined. Since those occasions, I only buy the LT41-K model with the lever which locks the on/off switch.Read full review

This is the third one of these I have bought since I am still using the first one and like it so much. My wife started using mine so much I got her one. My 92 year old uncle borrowed mine and liked it so much we got him his own. Great shave, easy to clean, fast charging, these are just what an electric razor should be, and not crazy expensive.
