I paid $32 for this and it works almost as well as the $200 Braun! Really quite a great deal. It is lightweight compared to the Braun (paid $144 for that on another great deal), but it works almost as well! The review said it's the best deal for the dollar, and I totally agree! But I do use the Braun daily at home, as it's very substantial and I like heavy well constructed things. But this unit is great for the money. You won't be unhappy with the results.

I have used Norelco Shavers for over 60 years. I was always very satisfied with the many I have had over these years until I got this one. I currently use 4 different Norelco's but this one will go in a drawer. The head that holds the cutter blades is loose and makes a clunking sound when changing directions while shaving. This is very annoying. Also, after two shaves, the razor must be recharged. The razor was low priced but I did not get what I paid for.

There's a reason the Norelco XL41 razor can be sold for such a low price. While the razor shaves quite well Norelco had to cut some corners to get this razor down to a lower price point. The XL41 looks, feels and sounds inexpensive because it is. Norelco sells a lot of $100.00 plus razors for a good reason. I bought this Norelco to use as a travel razor. I have an older top of the line Norelco razor at home that is a far superior product. This inexpensive razor shaves quite well, is light and stays charged for many shaves but uses fixed shaver heads unlike the top Norelco's that feature floating cutting heads. Norelco also had to substitute plastic in most of the places the more expensive Norelco's use metal. Other negatives for those that are familiar with the more expensive Norelco shavers are that this razor is pretty noisy, doesn't have a docking station to hold the razor while it's charging and just plain looks and feels inexpensive. So much for the negatives. On the plus side it's my opinion that the Norelco 6948XL41 razor fits comfortably into the top percentage of its price class and despite the negatives I've noted the XL41 represents a very good value, especially for the way I plan to use it. Long short is that I got exactly what I paid for and have absolutely no regrets for buying it.Read full review
Seems to be a good electric shaver. I've been a blade guy for a while but quality blades are pricey, cheap mail order blades are just that. I used a similar product 25 years ago or so. Seem they were a bit more pricey then. i was expecting higher RPM out of it, but it shaves just fine and the lower RPM doesn't irritate my skin. Charge it up once a week and seems to be just fine One would spend the price of the razor for 2-3 months of triple blade pacs. Even if this only lasts a few months, it is a good value. Time will tell the better story.

I have been a blade user for 60 years. Various electric shavers nip and burn Because I need to wear oxygen tube 24/7, wet shaving is a messy hassle dealing with the tubing. The Norelco allows me an almost thorough shave, removing my tubing for a bit to get under my nose. It still burns some, but I think that will stop when the skin adapts to the razor. The price was right and, so far so good.
