Author Biography
Patricia Stephens was totally disabled by an incurable condition, fibromyalgia, for many years, before finding a medical breakthrough which started her on a path to restored health. In 1998 she launched a website to share her success and show a connection between fibromyalgia and AD/HD-www.addfibro.com (new address is www.reversingchronicdisease.com)-which attracted over a million hits, within the first few years, from around the world. After regaining her health, Patricia's passion has been to help others reclaim theirs. She became a certified nutritional consultant and has been working in a natural pharmacy for over fourteen years. She attended seminars on restoring hormonal balance using natural supplements. Over time, Patricia successfully replaced her conventional medications with natural therapies. The lessons she learned from her own journey, research, and working with clients, have inspired the book. Before becoming ill, Patricia taught Commercial Foods in a technical school for twenty-one years. She has a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama majoring in education. She and her husband, Howard, have been married since 1970. They have two grown sons.
