I have just bought my second EM6910. My first one was at least 10 years old and apart from a service some years back performed very well. It makes espresso coffee comparable with machines many times the price. As long as you clean it regularly, it will last many years. You can customise the settings of the pour. Has dual thermoblocks so you can steam milk while expressing coffee. A great machine allround.

these sunbeam machines are totally the best value on the market. I say this because I bought one quite a few years ago after much disappointment with cheaper items that were rubbish. also I did see it reviewed in a "blind" trial by experts on TV just after I got it: was rated as better than much more expensive ones. I convinced them at work to put in for this one and we now have excellent coffee. value for money this is totally awesome. should I say that my old one at home finally (more or less) wore out and I was advised not to bother with replacing the now rather feeble pump because the cost would not be worth it. so for home I got the latest one which is also totally awesome. but I have got (at least) 5 years (I think it is longer) service with multiple cups per day from my home one. you just couldnt do better than get one of these - unless you pay the extra money and get the latest one which has slightly tweaked minor things like the angle of the handle on the coffee ground holder so it is even easier to put on the machine. well done sumbeam for actually improving upon excellence,, rather than just changing the colour or whatever.Read full review

this unit makes jumping from a fully manual espresso machine very easy since it only adds the automatic feature of 'set-length' pour times [which can be adjusted to taste with the programming option], the efficiency of using two boilers allowing pour time concurrently with the 'frothing' sequence makes that little saving in time very noticeable, especially when more guests are waiting their turn for 'their coffee' ... the ability to vary 'auto-pour' with 'manual-pour' [to quickly add strength, or decrease cup strength] is a feature that will become 'second nature' after a very short time ... and the slightly larger head unit [holding that little bit more when tamped in well] makes the 'two-cup' pour still able to achieve 'acceptable' strength for those, like me, who enjoy a 'stronger' coffee taste ... .... the addition of the pressure sensing gauge allows the user to determine when maximum saturation has peaked, allowing shut off before bitterness leaches through, this feature can be 'tweaked' to make every cup have consistent flavour, and taste .... all in all, this model still out-ranks the more recent additions to Sunbeams range, and the models are available now for approx 25 - 40% of new cost ... .... please combine this unit with a good quality grinder [Sunbeam EMO480/450] so that the grind [at 3-4] is fine enough for 'good' compaction [I suggest compacting at 1/2 full, then at 3/4 full, and again when head is full [see on-line tips]Read full review
The machine has a practical design, is very simple to use, and easy to clean. Although it is a little bit noisy when pouring the coffee and frothing the milk it does an impeccable job producing wonderful tasting coffee as long as you use a good coffee ground. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an entry level barista machine.

Great machine - quick heating of milk but not too quick so that it's not possible to control. The dual thermostats are very handy. Easy to clean and maintain. Just watch the excess steam/water/condensation outlet under the tray. One machine which I purchased new (and was fixed under warranty) had the outlet missing the tray and therefore water dripped all over the benchtop. Apparently quite common. Apart from that though - great!
