Great Microphone for live use. Especially for the price. No, it's not a Shure 58 mic. But it sounds great in it's own right. In fact, like other people, I prefer the Samson Q7 mic over the Shure 58 for vocals. The fact that it's less expensive than a Shure 58 is simply a bonus. I've been a musician for over 30 years now and had used Shure mic's for years before coming across Samson mic's. The Samson Q7 in particular, is just an all around great sounding microphone for both vocals and micing up guitar amps. Regarding vocals, if your voice sounds better with a Shure 58, then get a Shure 58. The Samson Q7 sounds better for my voice. People who say that Samson makes low quality stuff compared to other major brands that have been around a lot longer are full of it. The only thing that really matters is what sounds good to YOU, not THEM. You make the choice.Read full review

Pros: -Durable stand and XLR cable -SM58 voiced? I think it's better -Does a great job as an instrument mic in a pinch -Affordable Cons: Case a little flimsy - be careful is all... Comments: I bought a beginner sound system for band practice and karaoke. I needed packages like these so I wouldn't have to shop for everything separately.A band member was using a Q7 and did a quick test for me against an SM58. I was stunned. Then I started to shop around for just the mics and saw the price on these. I was stunned again (in a good way). I bought 3 packages immediately thinking at the time I still found a great deal. Looking back, I still think I did. I would buy 3 more if I could, and intend to some day. I loan these out to friends when I can. They too get stunned. I've used these front of stage with no complaints and much praise for their sound and flexibility. Don't waste your time finding a better bargain. Buy these. Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friendRead full review
This is a tremendous value in vocal mics. It features a well-balanced metal body and tough windscreen. With a quality Neodymium capsule, it offers performance characteristics similar to the Shure Beta 58, at a fraction of the price... Comes with its own hard case and stand adapter (clip). Don't just take my word for it -- read the legitimate reviews on sites like Sweetwater and SamAsh.
This mike does the job. It's a workhorse for the mobile DJ. The only reason why I did not give it an excellent rating is because the housing and parts are all plastic. Of course the trade off is that it's lighter. For the money you get a clean crisp sound with plenty of bottom. Paired with the UHF receiver and this mike will keep your performances moving right along all throughout the room.
it is everything that was advertised and then some...very warm sound tailored exactly to my voice...I could tell immediately when I connected it that it was a winner...
