This computer is replacing a 4-year old Intel i5 laptop with 4GB of RAM. This new computer is a lot faster than my old laptop. Also, the laptop is fairly light. I purchased this computer because of the name (Samsung), and while its not a gaming powerhouse, that's not what I need. I need a solid computer that is reliable, runs office applications well, and does every-day stuff without issue. On all these counts, I'm satisfied. After having the computer for about 2 weeks, I installed a 500GB SDD, and its definitely faster than the stock 1TB HDD. Some other reviews complained that the 1TB drive was very slow. In my experience, the 1TB was acceptable, and the SDD is faster.
Very happy to find this computer. I have this same product but not working. I was able to take my harddrive and put in this computer. I have 4 laptop but this one was my major one. Thanks

This is a really great laptop, especially for the price. Just over 6 lbs, but it is 17.3". Fast processor, excellent graphics, more than enough memory. I purchased for my teenage son for school use, and the laptop's capacity is a bonus for his gamer side. He likes Windows 8; I'm still on the fence about it. Doesn't come with Office 2010 but the savings from this purchase more than covers the of it. I have slowly become a big Samsung fan... now have a 64" plasma, BluRay DVD player and a Galaxy 4...Samsung is quietly being the 1# quality electronics manufacturer...IMHO
The computer itself is excellent. I am just disappointed that office 2010 was NOT preloaded so I have to buy it separately!!! Also the laptop did not come with a bag. I thought that is some thing the seller should have included as a small bonus especially for people like myself paying a substantial freight figure owing to the distance of my location! Otherwise besides these two concerns, I am happy!!!!
