The product was perfectly described. 100% legitimate brand (ie, no fake or dodgy rip off), components and such. Arrived as if it was purchased from a physical store. Perfect working order! TL;DR EVERYONE, take note that the specific one (cheapest) I purchased came from overseas (US afaik). So you'll either have to purchase a new power cord or even cheaper a US-Aus. Power Adapter. Only issue was that the product was in fact an overseas (USA, it seems) "model"/release. This oversight was my mistake, yet it never caused me any problems. The only noticeable difference (between this box being sold in Aus vs. USA) the supplied cable on which are the power adapter and wall-plug ! Fortunately, most (all?) manufacturers of these sort of devices engineer on the supplied power cord, power-adapters developed with "universal usage" in mind. That is, although an everyday US power-socket provides a specific (AC) voltage & current, and the Aus. power-sockets provide different - the packaged power cable with power-adapter should* always power the product correctly/fully (providing the supplied inputs are within range!). Therefore this difference is of no problem. However, the provided plug on that cord would only fit US power sockets (a differences in pin angle and lack of a grounding pin) ..... unless I attach a simple US-Aus. power socket adapter. (This still allows correct function..... the (original) power-cord plugs into a Aus. socket adapter to fit a wall plug > power adapter (allowing Aus. power inputs) "converts" this to what is required by the device > power flows safely into the device, as required per its specification). Having said that, for peace of mind I still purchased an Aus. cable (with 3-prongs, a power adapter specifically designed for a [Aus.]240v/80A-to-home input and the conversion to the required output for the HDD, ending with the plug into the HDD just the same). This is not necessary, I'm just being careful! * Although I haven't spoke about specific values (I'm trying to keep this simple), there is a wide - but definitive - range of allowable inputs and a set value for its output (which are defined by the specifications required to successfully run the hardware) Read full review
