Bought this game out of pure nostalgia. Played this originally on the very first xbox and remembered having a blast. That xbox broke down long ago ,hence why I got it for the gamecube. Now to the game, it is NOT that fun to play by one's self but is great with 2-3 more players. The graphics are somewhat dated but is not important as one who seeks older games would know. Gameplay is different when compared to mario party surprising seeing as this is inspired from it. Instead of dice you throw a ball and land on random events. A good portion of the mini games are fun but some are boring for example all the mini games from the swamp. But as I played more with others I remembered why the child me enjoyed this and to put it simply its a wacky game with a fun and competitive/strategic bug swap mechanic. Even if you get a loosing streak in the mini games you cant help but laugh with others for the characters ridiculous chibi heads bobbing about. For me this game is a window in time for when things were simpler and fun and for those reasons i love this game no one has ever heard of . in a way the game embodies that , but remember this isn't mario party so don,t get your hopes up just go into it as its own thing and you'll see some value in it especially when playing with others around the house.Read full review

Years ago, we used to rent this game and play it. It's a 1-4 player board game, and we really enjoy playing it. The games are fun and silly and usually not too difficult. And in our family, not one person dominates all games, so everyone usually has a shot at winning. The humor is very Shrek-like, and we giggle throughout the game. We are currently a family of 5, having 3 teenaged girls. This was a Christmas surprise gift for the family that I finally remembered to find and purchase on Ebay. We've enjoyed the memories and new fun of this game. We also really like Mario Kart Double-Dash (another 1-4 player game), if that helps to let you know our tastes. We enjoy being able to play as a family.
This game is fun for all agaes! We love to play it with our children who are 10, 8, 6, and 3. Whenever we have company this is game the visiting kids want to play. We had to buy a second one from eBay to give away as a gift for friends children they loved it at our house so much! Lots of mini-games that are fun for everyone. Eye Dr. has told us these kinds of games are great for hand eye co-ordination. One to four players but definately more fun with people and not the computer oponent! You collect drops in story mode and the one who collects the most drops first wins their wish. You can be different character like Shrek, Fiona, Theloneous, Mr. Hood, and Lord Farquad. You play mini games and collect different coloured bugs(wich are valued at different points). If you win your mini game fthe first two get to swap bugsfrom the other two players. You swap the different coloured bugs to try to get more points(drops)at least you hpoe you pick more bugs with most points but sometimes the other guy gets more points. Mini play mode is you play through each of the different mini games. Lots of fun especially for those SHREK LOVERS OUT THERE! SHREKIFIC! (LOL)Read full review

we love this game! my girls (ages 4 and 6) loved the Shrek2 game and we were looking for another game to play together as a family. We also love mario party games too. This is fun and has fun mini games the girls adore. I would reccommend this to anyone who enjoys family fun and mini games that are not too challenging for young players!
