This was a replacement for the exact same phones that I lost. They have excellent sound and noise cancellation features. And even though these were previously used, they were still in excellent condition. And the price was right since a new pair would have been much more expensive.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Pros: Sound quality Comfortable Long batter life Cons: No Bluetooth feature. Noise cancellation is not what it intend to be. Bottom Line: Grate deal if you don't need Bluetooth nor NC.

I am sorry Sony discontinued these in-ear buds. I have used them on numerous flights and just love them. The rubber rings seal well and the noise reduction is well worth the price. Sure, $300 over-the-ear-units might work better, but for under $50 these are the ticket. I also took them on a 1200 mile motorcycle trip in rural Vietnam and they were great. The battery life is amazing. I never changed the battery, even after two 18 hour flights and 10 days on the road. On flights sometimes I don't ever use them for music, I just use them to block out engine noise. Do they kill ALL engine noise? No, but they cut the most annoying frequencies. The sound quality is well above average. I am a professional sound engineer, so I have heard many benchmark headphones and in-ear systems, and these are well worth the price!Read full review

I got this for my father-in-law. He had older version of Sony MDR model and it broke. He told me it works much better than the old one so he can really enjoy the musics and movies without hearing the complaint from my mother-in-law. I used Boss noise cancelling headphone before and it works great, but it is way to big. My wife and I both have Sony MDR noise cancelling headphones (older version than this one), and we are very happy with the performance.
These are excellent quality in sound. They plug into your ears so they block out sound and also have a sound blocking/reduction switch which you can activate. They have a very long cord which I find really useful as they can't be pulled out of your ears if you move around. I bought them to use for travelling on flights and for general use and I am really happy with them
