Well right from the get go, any reader should be quite aware that these so called recollections are just that, written probably to increase sales through half remembered drunken sprees. Nevertheless, putting aside any overwhelming love and admiration for the band members (which might leave one with the impression we're talking about impeccable gods here), it's a fun read (giggles are guarantied), sensitive at times and even sad. Some of the pictures are priceless and within the book are the corner stone stories and antics any fan should know, even if just to be able to figure what the hell everybody is talking about when they say "mud sharks". If Buy it cheap you won't feel cheated.
If your doing some research on Led Zeppelin, this book is a must. Cole was body gaurd, driver, groupie getter, drug supplier....ect right from the begining for the band. There's also a book about Peter Grant ( manager ) " The Man That Led Zeppelin " that's even more fascinating. If you think Zeppelin sold their souls to the devil " Fallen Angel, Jimmy Page " is a really bizzare read.
Insiders view from the Road Manager. His twelve years with them.
