I've waited a long time to add this to my collection of companions, as with the companions to the other Star Trek series, this one covers each and every episode of the 7 year run of the show. What I enjoyed was the author's presentation of the episode synopsis, by breaking down each episode into different headers such as Sensor Reading, Delta Quadrant, Logs and others the reader gets a better feel for what occured on the visual side the episodes, This is well done and I highly recommended as an addition to any "Trekker's" collection.

This 481 page book offers the "bible" on which the series was based, highly detailed episode guides, in depth character descriptions, lists of all the actors and crew members (and the episodes on which they worked), awards listing, and comments from the principal actors. Filled with photos and many little tidbits, this is truly a definitive companion book and I find myself wanting to go back to watch each episode as I read about it. Its an easy read, the technical jargon is kept at a minimum, and the font itself is easy on the eyes. The soft cover book is 8 1/2 x 11 inches and is only about 1 1/2 inches wide so it is easy to hold onto when you are reclined in front of the TV set.
Some how I missed this Companion when it was first released a few years ago. I now have the Companions for Next Generation, DS9 and now Voyager. This Companion is just as good as the previous two. It does not contain the "show air date" along with each episode; listed in an appendix. Overall, very good descriptions of each show and other Star Trek antidotes making for a great read!! Definitely worth purchasing, if one may still find one! beekeepingmb673
My name is Roger Thompson MA FRAS FRSA, and I am an assistant professor at Kyung Hee University in South Korea, and also Korea's first Star Trek professor. I was featured in the summer 2019 issue of Star Trek: The Official Magazine, so I guess you could say I know something about Star Trek. Although my class focuses on TOS, I also love TNG and Voyager, and it is my love for the latter that made me buy this book. It is a thoroughly detailed and well written companion, with many photos, although there are no colour ones. I consider it the definitive book on Voyager and I heartily recommend it to Voyager fans around the world. Live long and prosper.

Like many others have said this is basically an episode guide. I bought this because I am a Voyager fan and was hoping it would have "some" behind the scenes information and/or cast interviews/pictures. NOTHING here but episode recaps.
