These play like a cavity-back iron, not a muscle-back. Feel is very soft, but you do know when you make a mis hit. Feed back is not harsh, but you know. to bad Taylor-made doesn't make these any more. I wish they would make the R7 TP Forged-Japan only model, avail to the USA, I hear these are even better then the RAC TP.
I presently play TaylorMade LT irons, which are great irons in their own right. However, these forged irons are everything you would expect from forged and fairly easy to hit and work the ball. The feel is incredible, you know you hit good shot just from the response of the club. I strongly recommend these clubs to anyone who is looking to improve their game, and should not feel intimidated by these easy hitting and rewarding irons. The main reason I wanted these clubs was the added feel and response of the ball, and these are certainly all that. Highly recommend these irons. Thanks David 12 handicap
These clubs are great for the serious golfer. I have just switched back to a blade club, from the TaylorMade LT2 irons. I really liked the feel of the LT2 irons, but with my high ball flight I needed some more control with the shot. I really love the feed back I get from the RAC TP irons. I can control the height of the shot, and control a fade or draw. I would recommend these clubs to the better than average player that is looking for a great blade iron with great feel.
These forged, muscleback design clubs are exceptional. Even if they are preferred by better players, the soft feel they provide allow mid handicap players greater ability to manupulate their shot and lower their score. I have predominately played TaylorMade golf equipment the last five years and the clubs keep getting better and better. With every progressive set of clubs I've purchased, my handicap continues to reduce. Bottom line, these are the best clubs I've ever hit.
Great set of irons. Started with the TM Burner Driver first. Love it. Then switched to the TM irons. Love them. Previously owned the Titleist DCI irons, never thought I'd switch, but what a great iron. You have to know what your doing to be consistant with the blade TP's. If your an above average handicap and want to take your game a step higher this is the iron. 1 Note: Soft metal, cover them to protect from bag chatter.
