The Adventures of Sammy and Alistair: Sidecar is the first in a series of Christian short stories based on Samuel Rittenberg Tanner, a rich black man living in the outskirts of Atlanta during the racially tense early 1960s. Sammy has never let his race become an obstacle to financial or social success. Now he spends his time living a spiritual, semi-retired life. His teenage nephew, Alistair, is visiting him for the summer as his personal assistant. He comes from the poor side of the family and hopes to learn how to get rich. Alistair's first job is to take Sammy to Atlanta using his imported German motorcycle with a sidecar. What's supposed to be an thirty minute long road trip to the city turns into a three day adventure when they take an unexpected detour and encounter a shocking discovery: a beaten, bloodied white body. Will Sammy and Alistair igre it for their own safety, or will they do the right thing and obey God? Two black men standing next to a white body in the backwoods of Georgia could result in danger...or worse. Welcome to The Adventures of Sammy and Alistair: Sidecar, a story loosely based on The Good Samaritan parable.
