Any book that takes an old idea and represents it to children in a fresh and funny way is worth celebrating and this is exactly the case in Lane Smith's book "The Big Elephant In The Room." The book takes the idea of the famous phrase "The elephant in the room" and plays with the concept, as one of the cartoon donkey protagonists explains situation after situation where he made he's best friend feel awkward as a way of explaining the concept of the elephant in the room. The book leads to a rather obvious punch line at the end, but is written with such love and wit that it still reads as humorous and is extremely entertaining for children. Adults will enjoy the crazy situations and humor just as much as children will enjoy it with its wonderful illustrations and beautiful characters. A must for any young children and families!Read full review
