Author Biography
Robirda has been living and working with animals & birds, as well as writing stories about them, all her life. Her first literary publication (a poem about the family's pet beagle's quirkier habits) occurred unexpectedly at age six, to her parents' great surprise. Another tale was entered into a writing contest at age eight, but was disqualified on the grounds that it was too good to have been written by a child of that age! But Robirda didn't let that stop her; in the coming years she would have a number of stories, articles and poems published in a wide variety of venues and formats, all over the world. Currently Robirda lives in the small town of Westbank, in British Columbia's Okanagan valley. She has yet to see the lake's world-famous perhaps-mythical inhabitant, Ogo-Pogo, and enjoys sharing her home with her husband David and an ever-changing number of pets, including her beloved birds.
