An art teacher recommended Itten’s The Color Star to me. As I began working with The Color Star I found I needed to learn more about color theory. I requested Itten's book Elements of Color from interlibrary loan. I found I was renewing this book time and time again. Rather than spending money on late fees I decided to buy the book. This hard-covered book is a good reference tool written by a man that seems to be "The" authority of color.
If you want to learn more about color, this is the book
