Compelling and graphically violent , a real page-turner . I've always been fascinated by the Mafia genre , and this book is a look into it's darkest side . I recommend the book highly , but I will say , there were parts I wish I never read . As a person who reads a lot of books , I will not forget this one , it'll stay in the front of your memory line for a long time . I'd rate this book a solid 8 . Chris from Vancouver B.C

Very absorbing book. Since Mr. Kulkinski was a star on HBO and BIO channel, I think he "plays to the audience". I doubt his claims to all 200+ murders - in fact I doubt much of what he wrote about his "practice-killings" in Manhattan, and I definitely think he exaggerates his numbers ---but to think he actually commited one each of the torture murders along with the anger killngs is scary. If he did in fact shoot an old man walking his dog just to prove himself to another murderer, he sets a record for senselessness. If he sat and watched other murderers carve up a body and throw it away in dumpsters, he is a walking horror movie. If he fed live victims to rats and filmed it for the people who hired him even once, let alone the many times he claims in this book, he has no soul. Some of this is gripping; some is frightening,; some is B.S.; and some is hard to stomach. Highly recommended even if I don't rate it excellent - to give an excellent to something this grim just doesn't wash.Read full review
