This is the first book in a series about Maggie. She is a good Catholic woman who finds she has physic abilities. She falls into a job at a antiques shop with a witchy proprietor who helps her to deal with her new found abilities. She finds a wonderful cast of new friends, possible romance and of course a mysterious murder that she jumps in to help solve. I did not want to put it down and enjoyed it thoroughly. I ended up searching on Ebay for the rest of the books in this series (that's how much I enjoyed it). I am hooked.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. The characters are well drawn, the mysteries are not obviously solved, and most importantly to me, a major part of the story is how a small town deals with different ness--the good, bad and ugly.

I like the paranormal mysteries, especially the lighter, funnier ones like Charlaine Harris, who is my favorite. I wanted to like this book and it was good at first, but what got on my nerves was the fact that every sentence spoken was analyzed by the main character to death. There was so much time spent debating on what every thing meant that the story dragged for me. I am an avid reader and couldn't finish the book. So, like I said, not my favorite.
This is a really fun story--a murder mystery with a Wiccan twist. Painless introduction into many of the tenets of Wicca without being heavy handed. No one is made to look the fool as information unfolds. How the small town world views earth-centered spirituality, their misconceptions and some even realized that they might be mistaken about what Wiccans are truly like. Lovely cozy. Highly recommend!
Amazon had been suggesting this book for me for a while so I thought I would giev it a try. I wasn't impressed at all. If you want a good book with some fun magic in it go with Enchanted Inc.
