Not quite what i was hoping for but almond still is alive with talent and originality and always an overlooked genius.. The usual vaudevillian and spanish influences appear a little more refined here because of the big orchestral arrangements that abruptly rise all fall on this album. It is excellent if not disjointed in part in my opinion. Yet it feels unfulfilled or not realized completely..A familiar premise would be if you imagined this cd as the first chapter of a book .. I would of preferred this as a double album..But I do commend Almond for making a theme album, Something that i always find interesting because it builds it own narrative the more you listen too it..And is a refreshing departure from the usual pop format that is forever haunting cd's everywhere nowadays. This is a grow on you album and well worth a listen i recommend it..Read full review
