Author Biography
Asad R. Rahmani is currently Director of Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). He has written more than 100 research papers for national and international journals, five books, and numerous popular articles and book reviews. He is Principal Investigator of many prestigious projects of the BNHS, including the Important Bird Area (IBA) Programme of BirdLife International and BNHS. He is the Executive Editor of the Journal of the BNHS and Editor of Hornbill and Mistnet.Anwaruddin Choudhury is the pioneer of long-term wildlife research in Assam and has three decades of experience in the field. At present, he is the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur district in Assam. He has authored nineteen books and monographs, and has written at least 44 technical reports on wildlife and more than 600 articles and scientific papers.
