Author Biography
Painting is a rudder keeping me in on course through out my life weaving through time, through both beautiful and perilous waters, deceptively calm surfaces obscuring roiling undercurrents. I seek to reveal what is authentic in life. An incurable romantic, I see the same belle vie exists in my brush as in my poetry as in my irish fiddle, in hiking up a mountain with an orchestra of crickets, as in the fetid mud digging for clams, as in the crusting ice in my hair after a descent in powder snow or the brilliant flash of a trout rising. I have been an artist for thirty years having studied art in the village of Lacoste, France and receiving a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. I live on an island off the coast of Washington when not in France in a medieval stone village. I love our four amazingly creative grown children and one man, a sailor, my husband.
