Bought it to plug a ROG Ally into it which is USB C and then plug an HDMI cable into to TV from the unit too which is HDMI to HDMI so the ROG Ally Functions on the TV now (visions of mana is the current game I'm playing). Required and preferred a wireless Bluetooth PC controller to use with it and runs smoothly! (All of the Above) Highly Recommend(ed)! Thanks!

Great capabilities.
A lightweight and easy to bring adapter suitable for lager devices with type C would recommend. Due to the physical design of this adapter, smaller devices or devices that use touch screen as the main functions won't do so well as the adapter gets in your way it's better to leave your device alone. Though with the addition of a usb port it raises the bar a little allowing you to connect a keyboard; mouse and transfer data. You can connect a touch or gamepad (make sure your device is compatible in most cases you might need to install drivers) or mouse though, however with a single port there is only so few you can do as you can only use one port. In conclusion it is a great way to dock your portable smartphone, tablets and portable devices however I would recommend you to spend a little ... If the cable was slightly longer that'd be awesome. But otherwise a perfectly functional device. Also this one has USB 3.0 speeds, my last adapter was USB 2.0 even though it had the blue plastic bit inside.

It is useful where you have a device like a Surface Go where there is only 1 interface, namely a USB C and like me you want to include keyboards, monitors etc. I bought this to include these things, but one thing that didn't work was the VGA to USB C cable that I wanted to plug into this unit, which was annoying. I can only think this was due to the power going through the cable from my USB C not being strong enough. I fixed it by using an HDMI cable instead. Having read other reviews on this item where people felt the little cable was too short, I bought a small USB C extender, which is proving to be a waste of time as it won't carry the signal from this unit to the Surface Go or even Surface Book 2. I am fine to use the Adaptor as it is without an extension - so buy this first, try ... MacBook Pro multiple adaptor port hub.
Type C to HDMI/USB-C/USB 3 convertor cable hub is elegant and good value although the USB-C outlet didn't work. I didn't need that port anyway.
