Author Biography
Elliott Connie, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor who has spent his entire counseling career working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He founded and oversees the Solution Focused Training Institute, which holds multiple training sessions on this approach, including an annual symposium, workshops, and business consultations. He maintains a full private practice with couples, children, and families. He is also a trainer for the University of Texas-Arlington Certificate Program in Solution-Focused Counseling. Mr. Connie is the co-editor of The Art of Solution Focused Therapy with Linda Metcalf, has conducted numerous training sessions and presented widely.||Linda Metcalf, PhD, LPC, LMFT is Associate Professor, Texas Wesleyan University, Fort Worth, Texas, where she is also Director of the School Counseling program, teacher of family therapy courses, and practicum student supervisor. She is also a licensed professional counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist in Texas, where she has worked with adolescents and families for the past nineteen years in a variety of settings. Dr. Metcalf is President Elect of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the author of nine books. Her work has been excerpted in the Ladies Home Journal, Woman's Day, Learning Magazine, and numerous professional journals and books.
