A good primer for those looking at plants as more than something to eat or mow. The concepts of plants having "heart, soul and spirit" is explored through a variety of pathways: medicine wheel, chakras, chinese five elements, etc., as well as Montgomery's personal experiences. Major negative is the journal entries that introduce each chapter, i.e. "I place my tongue at the hole in the tree, drinking sap as if I were suckling at the breast of the great mother." The rest of the information reads much better, probably due to excellent editing.
I love it!
