Author Biography
The Author: Ronald A. Wells is Professor of History at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S.A. He received his education at Boston University (B.A., M.A., Ph.D.). He has twice been a research fellow at the Institute of United States Studies, University of London. He has written many books and articles in the general area of North Atlantic History, connecting the histories of people and events in Britain, Ireland and the United States. For example, he co-authored Conflict and Christianity in Northern Ireland with Dr. Brian Mawhinney, M.P., and he selected and introduced Alistair Cooke's prize-winning reports of life in America in Alistair Cooke: America Observed.
