None of these artists found much success, either with Paxton or elsewhere (if they were even recorded elsewhere). Mary Saenz, the Rev-Lons, Mary Saxton, and Sandi Shore all cut likable girl group sides with a Motown touch, for instance, and Beverly Williams' "They Say Big Girls Don't Cry" almost sounds like Carole King trying to do a follow-up to "It Might As Well Rain Until September.".
