A good solid product that has been well designed to replace the R7 Tungsten energy guzzler. Retrofitting the INCAs to Martec fans is as simple as removing the R7 and inserting the INCA in the same position, the INCA has a low profile to ensure it will fit within the confines of the fan light mount and shade. You will also need to replace the remote control and driver unit if this is the first time. The new remote control features a bright LCD and runs on 4 x AAA batteries, rechargeable batteries work well and offer a far more economical alternative to the older remote with its 9V battery. Using the old tungsten system, I was changing the 9V battery every 6 months and replacing the bulbs between 8 months and 18 months, depending on usage. The new remote offers individual timer settings for both the fan and the light, although sadly, there is no option for dimming. Cleaning the old shade with a damp cloth before allowing it to cool would result in the shade fracturing, the heat generated by the new LED's is barely enough to raise the shade temperature above warm after running for several hours. Well worth the conversion cost and would recommend to anyone. Things to be aware of... 1) No dimming (at least with the remote I purchase over a year ago) 2) Light appeared to fail, remote was fine and power was getting to the fan, after purchasing a replacement INCA I found that the original INCA was fine, all I needed to do was re-seat the INCA in its spring loaded connectors and it works without issue. 3) The remote when purchased, displayed minute rust on the battery contacts, removing the batteries for a recharge resulted in the bottom contact falling out completely due to extreme corrosion. I was able to clean the battery compartment and fashion a repair using tin foil without too much trouble. I also rubbed a small amount of olive oil over the repair in attempt to hold off further corrosion although I suspect it will return. 4) One of the remotes (purchased 4) displayed LCD leakage from new, in retrospect, it may have been wise to ship all remotes back to the supplier and ask them to ship ones without rust or LCD leakage, I guess I was so happy to have tungsten finally gone. This review is for the INCA light and a replacement for the R7 Tungsten, the INCA truly shines, I have mentioned the other items because they may also be needed by someone contemplating performing the conversion.Read full review

Used as a replacement for a 100w halogen in a generic ceiling fan light. Fitted fine and works well. Dimming range possibly not as good as the halogen, and maybe not quite so bright but difference is unnoticeable in practice.

Several lighting stores told me these didn't exist or didn't work well. These are great. Plenty of light for an entire room. Better light than the 100 halogens strip bulbs I replaced

Good LED replacement for a any ceiling fan light providing you have some DIY handyman skills. I soldered some wires to the ends and then used some heat shrink to insulate, then rewired it into the load and neutral. Brighter than the original 'special' 26W bulbs and should last much longer. My ceiling fan light was not a Martec brand.

Fits well in the fan lamp fitting - is bright and switches on instantly Seems a good replacement for the very hot halogen tubes, which don't last and are power hungry
