McKenzie started writing short stories in elementary school, and grew to love reading and writing romance as a shy tomboy growing up in the Bay Area of California. She enjoys the outdoors with her two active Labrador Retrievers. McKenzie has spent a great deal of time hiking, exploring and developing a passion for the Sierra Nevada Mountains. After living in rural Nevada for many years she turned her attention toward the Rocky Mountains of Montana, where today she calls home.
