An excellent unbiased biography of the recently deceased whistle blower Daniel Ellsberg. Daniel Ellsberg was a complex individual who felt overlooked by his employees at the RAND corporation. So in 1971 he leaked a top secret study on the Vietnam war to the press. He did it according to this book to make a name for himself. And because he an enormous ego and felt he could speed up the withdrawal of American forces from the Vietnam war. By exposing the lies various Presidents had said about involvement in the war. I bought the book because I didn’t buy his own self serving account in his book “secrets” published in 2005. He was not the saint the left made him out to be. And his private life of sexual orgies and multiple partners was pretty disgusting. But he did expose some of the lies told about the war. Read full review
