Wrist monitors are a great idea but don't buy this one. Sometimes cheap things can be tremendous value, and other times you may get even less than what you pay for. Unfortunately this device is in the latter category. It is a POS . It looks cheap the moment you see it, and its performance does nothing to improve on first impression. It requires two AAA batteries, which is a standard requirement for all wrist monitors, but the batteries are difficult to load (no clear indicator as to which way they should be placed) and even on the first replacement you are likely to break the poor case-lid. the device fits poorly on the wrist and and the wrist strap is difficult to secure. When it works, the accuracy is questionable and erratic. I needed another monitor to verify the results from this one - and the results were never consistent enough for me to feel comfortable about trusting them. I bought another economical wrist monitor (CK-101S) which you should be able to get on ebay for around USD$15 - this was excellent in comparison. I also have an Omron BP652 which is excellent but costs about four times the price of the CK-101S. If you have a blood pressure problem you really MUST get a monitor so you know where you're going with your medication. In my view a wrist monitor is far superior to a bulky arm monitor. If you are on a tight budget the CK-101S will do you well. If money is not an issue for you, you won't go wrong with the Omron.Read full review

This is not my first blood pressure monitor, and I found this one as one of the best. It is accurate, and very simple to use, with large memory and more functions. It is a great value for money, and I recommend it.
