Same old slasher $hit… four young adults, a rafting trip. One lights up a joint. A woman with a nice rack pops her top. Attempted sex ends in death. Another typical slasher flick. I must say the rack was worth looking at! The series itself (I think) after this 3rd one is in serious decline and is SCREAMING for Eliza Dushku to return back in the form of a RAMBO or something on a ROYAL PMS vendetta over the death of her friends to seek vengeance. Seeing her in the buff wouldn't be so bad either! That would be a GREAT # 4 ! OK: Characters are getting stalked by an inbred cannibal and having to fight to stay alive. The bulk are escaped cons that incessantly arguing over found bags of money, who is going to carry those bags of money, how they are going to get away with the bags of money, and who is going to double-cross the others and try to make off with ALL the bags of money? Ho-HUM... This sequel expects you to care more about the latter because the inbred cannibal killing them is treated more as a side nuisance hindering their escape with the money than the main real threat. When you fail to treat a life or death scenario as a life or death scenario, you completely undercut any chance of tension unless you really are on the edge of your seat anticipating when the big skinhead arsonist will finally backstab the others over the money bags. Man the plot gets LOST! The cackling "Three Finger" from the previous two movies, runs a prison bus off the road, unleashing such a dopey lot of convicts, I liked the horny teens from a few minutes earlier. The prisoners take the guards hostage and look for a way out of the forest. Three Finger kills a guard and starts lobbing arrows their way. One moment everybody is ducking behind rocks to avoid being shot, and the next they're back standing out in the open showing little concern about the unknown inbred in the woods trying to kill and eat them. They find the lone female survivor from the opening scene and decide not to rape and kill her because she can lead them to some rafts they can use to get down the river. Less credence is given to her screams about a mutant killer cannibal in the woods than to the rafts she can lead them to. Again.... LOST PLOT. They find a crashed armored car in the middle of the woods, more emphasis is put on the cons infighting over the bags of money found inside it than there ever is about the inbred cannibal. Every kill is unconvincing and lacks real scare. Three Finger does not look as good as two or one. If you REALLY liked the first two, be prepared to be disappointed. DON'T pay more than $5 on eBay to see this. Hey, It's a 'Direct to DVD' for a reason. D+ all I can give.Read full review
I was going to put poor but said below average just due to the fact. I like the storyline of the film. Inbreed hillbillies vs. prison inmates. Graphic wise it is so poor even using Blue Screen driving effects like out of a 70's TV show for good sakes. I love wrong turn 1 & 2. There is a reason why this went straight to DVD it not worthy of anything else. Best 5 minutes is the beginning of the film of course as a fan of the series it has some good points. But was it 2 shocking for the big screen NO,NO,NO. Hostel II was better ... LOL save yourself the time TRUST ME!!! Rent it at most don't waste your money!!! From a true horror fan - onemixer If it helped @ all or you liked hit YES 4 me ... THANKS
This movie picks up where the others leave off. Cannibals hunting and killing people due to people killing all the animals in the woods. To sum this move up......men in prison, man decides to escape during transfer, crazy man hits bus with prisoners and makes it flip, crazy man turns out to be more than you can count, there are traps in the woods and believe it or not there are survives in this movie. Sad but true that some people would dye for money (and they do). It's a blood and guts, but cool ways of killing people. This movie keeps you guessing. It's worth the price of a ticket So go on......Enjoy the movieeeeeeeee.
