Still good but not as good as previously
I had an x-mini portable speaker I bought years ago which needed to be replaced, so bought this new one. I was pleased to discover the design was the same, the sound quality excellent and it was still good value, however it felt more plasticky than my previous one, it felt 'cheaper'. Also opening and closing it is very stiff and not as easy as my previous one. So, yes, while its function is still extremely good for the price, the materials have been cheapened and, to my mind, it shows.
